he kills it on everything, watch his part in Electronical and you'll see what i mean. He's not my fav rider but i think he would be the best coz he can ride everything so well,
X games medals and coloured bikes dont mean shit really
Dave Mirra, Mat Hoffman, these guys did so much for the sport. Mat Hoffman has been credited with being the first to do a lot of tricks. Dave Mirra as it was said before has more Medals than anyone else. Most of these new guys are just building off of what guys like Dave and Mat have been doing for years. I am sure I am missing a lot of guys from the 80's and such that really kicked off freestyle bmx.

"It doesn't matter what you ride, you have to thank Mat [Hoffman] for the tricks and the popularity of BMX today. He did tricks 12 years ago that still haven't been copied. I don't care if you're a hardcore street kid, ramp/park guy or anything else; you owe 90% of your tricks to this guy." -Jimmy Levan
hey hey hey!! beat me to it! ya no one makes me want to btter my skill and try harder than my friends. There are always pros out there that make me go WOW! I wish I could ride like that... but my friends and other local riders push me to become a better rider.
for my fav pros.... Mike Aitken > Chase Hawk > Style and Flow Mark Webb > Scotty Cranmer > wtfareyouserious?!?! Alex Liiv > Sean Burns > Randy Taylor > f*ckingGNARpantshittingf*ckingshit!!
I'm going to go with what I think is pretty solid.
In no order
1. Kevin Porter 2. Bruno Hoffman 3. Garrett Renolyds 4. Brian Hunt 5. Harry Main 6. Jerimiah Smith 7. Mark Webb 8. Aaron Ross ( don't really like him, but he has to be in there:P) 9. Ryan Nyquist 10. Nathan Williams 11. Morgan Wade 12. Dakota Roche 13. The Napolitian Brothers.
Chase Hawk is one of the smoothest riders out there. I like him the best because he goes big, and lands light and controlled. His bike control skills are an obvious sign that he raced back in the day. And I like that he rarely throws tricks that involve him coming off the bike, but still manages to catch the biggest sponsors out there. Respect.
Aaron Ross is amazing. He can 3 whip with only a couple feet of air. He isn't smooth enough though. Lots of corrective steering after he lands.
A pioneer in the sport is Chase Dehart. He is a laid back guy who rides for the fun of it. If he isn't having fun doing something, he stops doing it. He isn't trying to out-do anyone.
