Sorry not necessarily a fgfs question, but I think ya'll would know the answer. I'm more or less piecing together this steam roller I have.

I want to run 48t with BMX 48spline cranks. What size cranks do you think I should aim for? I've seen some pics where peoples cranks are practically dragging on trick/track builds.

I use 170 myself on my bmx, but do you think that will give me enough leverage for a commuter with larger sprocket?

Yeah, I’d probably run 170mm on my bike. It depends on your BB height and particular pedal clearance though. If you’re going to run large platform pedals you may have issues. I had 170mm OMNIUMs on my old Steamroller and didn’t encounter any problems.
