Oh, not until a few months from now lol, I'm skeptical the bike will even be built by January, I think my girlfriend is buying me Mechs and Cassette next.

ye you will need mtb shifters, if your going to have them shortish flat bar is better becouse ther is more room, risers mite not fit levers and shifters becouse of the bend if you chop them down

only real reason to get risers is just the looks

Well I like cut down MTB bars but as long as SS/Fixie style is comfortable I don't mind either Smile I got MTB risers already so I could buy some flatter bars off ebay and do what you said.

fixie bars like what i have wount work unless you put the shifters up right bythe stem, they barely fit brakes, so forget them

i sugest flat bar , would give you slightly lower position to, and them maybe bar end bullhorn things for another hand position, roadbikes put alot more presure on your hands than a mtb so more than 1 hand position is nice trust me

and you didt anser before, what about bullhorns? ...

Yep, I'll have my flat/riser bars until late 2011 when I can afford STI Shifters and drop bars Smile

@Joe-Got-The-Erge: I'm not sure about bullhorns but if they can fit brake levers and MTB gear shifters then I'll probs buy them.

ohh, so you already have the mtb gear stuff..
im with you Wink

you can get bar end shifters, or you can put mtb shifters by the stem, get brake levers by the stem or put them on the end of the bar
