all my local parks suck ass they are all the cheap council ones put in around small villages ( UK guys will know what i mean) sucks so bad because it means its really hard to progress and basically the only time i get to try big stuff is when i go to corby so i end up getting hurt because i just go balls out to try as much stuff as is possible in that time frame

Does that even count as a skatepark?? Why do they do that, like to "keep kids off the streets" and "out of violence" ??? That's horrible.

It's a joke. Everyone smokes weed (blaze it 420) there and drinks. It's so bad we just ride at the swimming pool and get told to move on from there.

I believe this is the site to ask,
1how to get air above the coping and look like a baws
2 how to jump a spine

pwetty please?
go faster than you feel comfortable going (im guessing you 180 basically on coping?) this means you now have the speed to get out the ramp, as you hit the curve lean back like your trying to manual up the ramp, this means that when your front tyre hits the coping your bike will stay vertical so you dont land on the deck, depending on how far back your leaning depends on how close to the deck (smooth) you will land, pull back to far and you land flat, you back tyre should then bonk off the coping, this is when your airing the ramp, i tend to whip the back end ojut and tuck the front in a little, you then want to push your front wheel down onto the ramp on re-entry, try to air just below the coping with your front tyre and your rear tyre will land in the same spot, this is how i do it and i can air 6 foot comfortably (bigger if im going for it/feeling brave)

thats wayyy better than my locals, mine are like 2 foot boxes and spines with quarters that have sunk into the concrete so theres an enormous speed stealing bump at the bottom of them

Joe, that's all of it... you can't even flow around it...

I know exactly what you mean, my town's park is 2 metal quarters positioned as a half pipe and are also too close together. And then there's the sub box/rails... well it's so small my bike doesn't fit on the top and the angles are so damn sharp. It's so crap you can't even grind the rail that's on top.
It's the worst, we never ride it. Just street in the town. We have to get in our cars to go ride a decent park.

ill give you a mental image of the best one near me, a 4 foot 2 pannel wide flatbank with a bump onto it down to a 2foot spine and box connected side to side to a 6 foot quarter with the biggest bump known to man at the bottom, its so bad that kids with plastic pedals hit it and slip both pedals, these are all about 6 foot apart from each other as well, the flatbank is connected to a 3 1/2 foot halfpipe thats firstly super super slippery and secondly appears to have a big bore exhaust pipe for coping, need i say more?

You think that's bad, This was our first skate park where I used to live just out side of Detroit.

After a few years, they did add more, and now it looks like this.

Some one somewhere always has it worse!

Within a few train connections there are a lot more parks one which is quite decent but a pain to get to. Too bad selling the majesty to pay for a new DH sled.
