'08 STP Pro (Aus version) came with Pikes, pretty set to use for 4X or DH HT.
I'd be looking at a Norco Shore HT or 2nd hand Banshee Morphine, Transition Vagrant, maybe the NS Bitch / Surge

i think theres lots of great suggestions for bikes in the thread.....

but what i would do is go test ride some bikes, see what feels right, how much you like the bike, and go from there.

good way to narrow down your list.

i used a gary fisher opie for about a year and a half of downhilling. thats on tracks like fort bill, glencoe and dunkeld. its a great frame but you would have to build it up custom. comes stock with shit parts. if you went down the road of a custon build you should consider it, i got my frame for £50 with cranks and seatpost

this is my 2006 Norco Sasquatch. Served me well (and still does!) The seat was so terrible when i bought it. Glad to see they updated it.

i´ve just got kona sherd 09 just put it a chainguide and its working pretty well ! 700eur for this price and quality i didn´t find anything better!!!
