SO your calling a steel frame, with TONS of extra gussets, that has only really been used for like half a year a week frame. It was sitting in the guys garage for three years unbuilt.

for 1, its aluminum. low grade. 2, i've seen them broken (quite a few) 3, its a fairly inexpensive frame. dont worry about it. if u dont want a new one dont get a new one. its not like it makes a difference in anyones lives. but im just telling u what i would do, u asked for opinions.

I would upgrade to,
Continental supersonic inner tubes, Bontrager Big earl tires or Michilen DH16's.
Bontrager Racelight (female) saddle (well light & comfortable)
A light seatpost (Easton EA70, Bontrager King Earl)
Lighter Rims 28mm or more, Sunn MTX, Mavic 829's, King Earl's
Push tune your Vanilla and add a Ti spring.
Give your frame a makeover, it would look wicked in matt black.
But personally it's cool the way it is.
