hey would any of you have a suggestion for a rigid singlespeed 26er?
A little bit pricey but a Gary Fisher Superfly SS with a Bontrager switchblade fork would be killer

steel for sure if going rigid. otherwise i love the versatility of my chameleon.

I second the On-One option. I beat the shit out of mine. I9 All Mountain rims and some big rubber, it´ll be a cold day in hell when it fails. Great geo too.

So true. I raced mine for 4 years. 4X 8 hour endurance solo races, many other big races, and tons of riding. Been threw 3 sets of wheels, and many other parts. Paint is beat/worn off, and a groove wore into the steel from my cable, but it still goes hard. I will be racing it again this year on and off when not on my new Bianchi SASS. Geometry is very aggressive. We race here on some really rocky steel trails, and this bike hauls ass all the way.

All depends on how hilly and rocky it is where you ride and how fast you like to pedal. Around here, a lot of people are running 33/20, 33/19, 32/18...stuff like that. Buy a few lower end cogs and find one that works for you, then upgrade it to a more expensive, better one.

ok thanks for the advice, il probably go 33/19 as i want to be able to pedal on the up.

I'm on 32/19 but where I ride it's either really steep up, or really steep down.
