Functionally Juicy 3s are identical to 7s.

Every Avid brake has a lousy factory bleed.

i woudnt go for the avids because me and my friends have had bad experience with them my avid 3 lost most of it's power in about 5 months my mates have had the same problem with there avid 5 and 7 and my mate with the juicy 5 has only had his avid for 3 months then lost most of its bite. Ive got a hayes 9 now there really good and reliable and not expensive. you should get some of them

quick question since this is the juicy 3 thread i guess
i do a lot of freeriding and i guess some really rough dh trails
my brakes seem to pull back farther, like the lever comes back all the way to the
handlebars after a really long run or after doing jumps and theres no stopping power
the brakes simply dont work when i get to the bottom
whats wrong with them?

I had the same thing happen to me and I boiled my brake fluid

yeah it seems everytime my bike gets shaken up the brakes lose power
maybe just shitty brakes?

sometime when it gets hot enough an air bubble can get in to the line and you don't get the response that you want And it could last a while a a little bit it will eventually go away

Well that's funny, I rode juicy 3's for more than a year and I never had a single problem. I didn't notice fading or anything. After I bought Codes, I bolted the juicys onto my street bike, and they've worked now for nearly two years just fine. I haven't even needed to bleed them! Never. They are the most reliable brakes I've ever come across.

Does anybody know what the Formula ORO K18 are like compared to the juicy 5 power and reliability wise?
