I rode my Hamilton PC's for a little over a year and I was relatively happy with them. They offered a fair amount of grip but whenever I'd tap my pedal on coping, a pin would flatten completely. This was a pain to say the least. So once my plastic pins were completely worn out, I decided to drill in my own metal pins. So far, it's been absolutely great. You get the benefits of both worlds. The same grip is offered as that of metal pedals and you still get the lesser weight of plastics. So to those of you who want to save some money or add some new found life to your worn out PC's, I highly suggest doing this. You have nothing to lose if your pedals are already worn to the point of being unrideable.
