Wait till you see the build on your old beater Shred, better than it ever was. XB's heart was always in DH... 170 mm air bike will get destroyed @ the park... 29 lbs, not rattle apart ya no.

Air cartridges get nuked too bro, won't hold up... You don't think the pros are putting on new shocks every 2nd run...

I'm sure the old Glory will be back in all it's glory today. You enjoy it.

15 days on the Glory, 15 days on the Ibis last season at the Star.
Zero issues with the Float X2 on the Ibis. It can handle Silver Star. It was that $hitty Inline that wasn't up to the task the previous season. Cane Creak, never again.

Glory will Shred! It's a size large same as my Reign but cockpit is sooooo much tighter, gonna take some time to get used to... Long bikes are the sh#t so good on the steeps. Angle set on order, will get Glory to 61 deg.

Hahaha. 61 is too slack.
If your serious about going slacker I still have the angleset from the Glory before the one you have now. It was 64 and I ran her at 63.
You could run this one at 62.

You know 29" wheel does all those things better, right?

How would we know? Trails where straightened and gentrified years ago.

"Oh, I wish I had bigger wheels to make this corner", said nobody ever.

Ran into Josh Palmer yesterday. Skyride was so busy Josh and I started seeling stuff. I sold somebody a bleed and a quick release for their seat.. (talked them out of the automatic ones). Josh and Rob Thompson tried to sell me a hard tail. Will probably get one for next year, Oh and I finally figured out what it is he does. Editor for an Aussie bike magazine. Local boy makes good? Just in case anyone didnt know or cared...

You sure sound like you know what you are talking about, so you have ridden the new breed 29? Tell me more.

Let me tell you a story. A few months ago I decided to go back to college in the Village of Lumby. It was safety courses so there was a police officer, a firefighter, a construction worker and I guess I was the Native person. We got along great and decided to start a fraternity. Lots of Friday nights of drinking but every weekend there would a little more experimentation. Things like bath salts. JO who just moved here from Edmonton and was a construction worker had his medicinal marijuana card. Its funny though that not unlike porn if you experiment too much with the same thing it gets old quickly. One day Jo came to our Frat with a bike he just bought. Dude.. you want to get high he says? This thing is faster than a 26 er and has legal race geometry because, man, if you dont know this you cannot race a bike with different tires sizes like a 29er and a 27.5 inch tire which would make sense as you could take some of the steepness out of the trail but hey the UCI is a street bike organisation so whatever man ..

So Jo, who was 18 and highly impressionable got talked into taking this thing out on a really steep old school trail and low an behold it was pretty fun. He was heading straight down a chute and every rock seemed like it was bubble wrapped. About half way down and probably doing 50 or 60 and there was a corner. I heard Jo Scream but it was too late over the corner he went and flipped the frame over and over. Because of the stupid momentum this thing traveled about 2 miles before the sheer weight of the rims and the fact it was a TXXX snapped the frame into so many pieces that there wasn't even enough tubing to use in a bong.

Jo laid down for a while and needed coaxing to get off the ground. He then started crying. I spent my rent money on that thing. I was going to be a Silver Star bum. We got him up and used our Android phone (because apples are also stupid) and found a cheap place that he could hang out for a while until he figured things out.

So to answer your question it is yes and we even wrote a song about it...

Young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy.

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

Also I am mimicking what the pro's are saying in the UCI world cup circuit with the DH bikes. I also feel the difference on my 27.5 bike compared to my 26 on the old school trails. I would love to see an old school track where there was multiple lines, multiple racers and no flats to see what the spreads would be. The current tracks are designed to keep the times close. Yes I have been drinking.

Now for the trail news.
Lower Double Dog has been changed. Eek
Yes, what was already running fine and a fan favorite has been reworked. I'm going to reserve final judgment until I ride it more and the fresh slower bits get packed in. However right now I think it will be ok. We'll see how it packs in.

How much have they changed? Like from the opening after where Gnarnia used to be down, or higher up?

We had a tight crew rolling Silver Star on Saturday, we had 3/4 of the VRT in a train... Eze-Duz-it to Challenger loop was off the chain...

Tow-Gai Friday Eliminator Series coming to VERNON... Gonna be sick. Silver Star is loose and drifty right now, get zesty get some.

1$t-Ish annual Tailgate Party had record low turnout, turns out there was a big birthday bash @ Knoll and a Pub Crawl Cruiser ride in town, major scheduling conflicts...

But XB will be back at it on Weiner Wednesdays @ the Star... Same as it ever was.

Good to be back in the dh game
