Race face diabolus BB w/ Xt crank

I wreck my shimano XT bottom bracket, which came on a M770 crankset.
Not impressed by its performance. This is my first bad experience with shimano.

I want to reaplce it with something better.
Oh by the way, are shimano BB cup with bearings or ...? It doesn't look like a bb to me, may be I'm just being stupid.

Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade for a diabolus bb cup, will my shimano xt m770 crankset fit on those?

It will fit perfectly but I'm not sure that it's any stronger or longer lasting than your original Shimano one. I would upgrade to a Chris King or Hope.

Oh from the crappy quality I can see from shimano bb, I'm sure race face is better.
I'm not even sure if they are bearings, and if they're not, I can't grease them, which really suck.
Oh and Hope could be a good choice, but more pricey, and Chris King is all about hype.

The Shimano one has bearings under the plastic cover, It has the same design as the Race Face bottom bracket.

If the outer cup and plastic cover are still in good condition you can buy a replacement Phil Wood bearing for it.

Do not get race face bb, the shimano bb is better. I had the bearing competely seize on my raceface. I have looked into this before so go with shimano or if you can afford it would be a Hope bb which I have read nothing but good things about.
