Yeah it save some weight. The crank arms are in steel so... it's a bit heavy.

got this in the mail yesterday!
guerciotti fixed gear, late 70s frame(aprently by singlespeedtoday) oredy put a few miles into it and love it!

yep! its scratched more than a emo, i plan to patch it up with a paint pen the best i can then clear cote it to stop rust

Actually that one looks really close to mine. Could be mid 80's. Your frame probably has the Italian paint.

Does the bottom bracket shell have a star cut out?

Anyone know anything about old(pre Grant Petersen) Bridgestone road bikes.
I'm picking one up on Monday. It is in near-mint, forgotten in an attic for 30 years, condition.
It is a good single-speed candidate, but I will restore it as-original if it has value that way.

Will post photos when I can.
