Fox 36 Vanilla Rattle

I just bought a 36 Vanilla and once I put it on the bike there is a rattle in it. When I lift and drop the front wheel, the fork rattles. While riding, the initial impact also rattles.

Has anyone had this issue?

I had that exact same thing happen to my 06 VAN r. LBS said it might be worn out bushings?

I didn't pursue the matter b/c my fork cracked at the axle bolt from overtightening. Got a 08 Float insteadtup .

Lmao. Your LBS is stupid. ITs the spring. as the spring compresses it butts up against the side wall. does no dmg and does affect performance. Standing still, the spring will shake despite being pressed upon by the preload adjuster. Sound rattle is actually the plastic coating; remove the spring and whack it against a hard stainless steel object, t will make the same sound! personally i like the ping it makes!
