Been outta the DH scene for a few years and decided to give it a run again this weekend and fell back in love, question to all you who are up-to-date with whats what... I got a 2003 giant comp /w some upgrades (back in 04) d321s, Michalin 2.8” tire, Race Face North Shore DH cranks, floating disk brake, etc...

Question is ... should I toss this old heavy pile in the trash and go new? Or is this frame still worth huckin some cash at it to update/lighten out.

I use to see quite a few of these on the lifts back in the day.. now none.

Ride it until you need new,just give everything a good service and go ride.

Ride what you've got for now. See how it goes. Try and demo a new bike to see if the difference is big enough to justify buying a whole new rig.

It really depends on what you want to invest into your riding.
