The trick is the body english. Turn into the spin with your upperbody and let the rest of you follow. Angle towards the jump and visualize it in your head.

oh man, this is not so relevant but, i could 180 on quarter, but can't 180 on flat!

if you're 360 on flat, from what i see my friends do, they spin real fast.
