put put a grip flange or part of a tire/tube between a crank and the bottom bracket.

Idk if it will work, but transition makes a crank stopper

you could try running your chain tighter... dont make it too tight tho and keep in mind chainrings are slightly oval

kill the bearings in your driver as well as your bb, you are better off with the flange tbh, or just tightening your bb.

if you overtighten it yes, i agree... having it just right won't cause any exessive wear tho

where exactly do you put it?
like driver said or non driver side
before or after the spacer

also does it wear out fast

Don't really know the answers to any of those questions because I've never done it before, but I'll take a stab at them. My guess would be non-drive side (not "driver"), because on the drive side there is usually (on my bike at least) only one spacer. But if the flange would fit then I suppose you can put it on the drive side if you want to be all stealthy. And I would guess that it would go as close to the frame as possible, otherwise it wouldn't do much then would it? Since it wouldn't be rubbing on anything to slow the cranks down. Wear out fast? Probably.

you can put it on either sides or for that matter both if you would like.... it makes it a pain to pedal it feels like youre running like a super hard gear ratio or something is WAY too tight i would just tighten your cranks

These work, depending on the BB you have

I already suggested that
