Mech or hydro brake for my TOP?

Lookin for some insight on a good rear brake for my Transition TOP.
Im interested in either a bb7 mech, or an Elixer. I have seen bad reviews on the elixer, mostly saying that they howel and squeel. Any help or advice would be great.

id say hydro- unless u can find a considerably light mechanical one

its all on feel, i like avids (i run codes on my br) but thats me, other people like hayes, you can get some atom lab for cheap
