had this amazing idea, i'll try to be as clear as possible.

i think i could make a maxle for marzocchi's out of my society 20mm axle, as the axle is really long for the marzocchi drop outs, if i cut it down on the end with no cap, to the right length(preferably so there are is no thread at the end of the axle), then get a standar q/r skewer put it through the end where the allen key cap is.

then slot the cut down axle and skewer into the marzocchi forks. then, using a right sized spacer/washer, put it over the skewers rod, and put the end of the skewer on. then it should clamp the forks and wheel fine, then use the pinch bolts to tighten it secure?

forgive me if i am wrong but it makes perfect sense to me.

i know you can buy them for £20 odd quid, but i dont have that money and i really need an axle, and i already have the society axle.
this is due to switching from xenos to my 07 dj2's.
what do people think?
