So, I took my bike into the bikeshop because someone who had the fork before me put in the wrong type of travel spacer and it broke or something. When I went to pick up the bike the mechanic says the steer tube is bent and than I shouldnt be dirt jumping on it because it will break easily. So I took the fork off today and looking at it it doesnt look like its bent but is there any way to tell?
Its an argyle 302 btw

get a steel ruler. place it parrallel to the sterrer tube. if you can see any gaps between the rule and the tube, its bent.

good thing about aluminum is that its very malleable. it can bend out of shape without loosing much strength, a slight bend will not crack it unless it wasn't heat treated properly
