Your gonna want to have long hair, the longer the better. If you know someone who's a hairdresser/stylist try to get them to do it for you, maybe pay them. If you get them proffesionaly done they can end up costing around 300 bucks depending on length and what not (no joke).

If you really want them, go for it! Its deffinately worth it. I've missed mine since i got them out, I've tried braiding my hair but it doesnt even come close.

It's not a look, it represents a lifestyle.

and to reply to what was said above (if i understood it correctly you said dreads are only fulfilling a lifestyle, not just a style?)

not really, dreads can really go with anyone, and your just stereotyping people into specific roles in society if you group them by a hairstyle
