I don't see too many people throw 36's on the LT's ... it's a shame the bike and fork go together like pea's & carrots!

Add-On's:
36 Talas RC2 w/ Matching New Thru-Axle Wheel
XT Crankset
Maverick Speedball R
Original Ol' Skool Ritchey Zebra Pouch
... oh and the nice man working @ WTB, who went to the same high school as me, hooked it up with a Ti-Rail Pure Saddle Smile instead of the cheap'o stock Ni-Cro : /

Currently runnning Enduro Pro 2.4's in the front and Nevegal 2.35's in the back. I plan on switching to S-Works Chunder's, 2.5 Dual Ply in the Front and 2.3 Single Ply in the back.

I hate peas and carrots. Well actually just peas but that frame and fork combo is indeed nice. I am more of a steak and potato type person myself.

Yea the fork didn't disrupt the geometry, pedaling, and/or ride quality at all. I'm probably preaching to the choir in a SC forum but the key to VPP is correct sag Razz

I recently switched from Shimano pedals to Crank Bros. I'm not sure if I like them yet ... kinda waiting for the spring/cleats to wear in a 'bit. If so I'll upgrade to the Black Acid 2's.

Very nice.

I may have to consider the LT as my next trail rig...

How do you like the '08 36 Talas? Is it better than previous years do you know?

I rode an '05 Enduro w/ '06 36mm Talas for a while... the new '08 has a lot more to offer w/ feature's and most importantly overall feel.

Lighter Fork and Noticeably stiffer crown.
3 step 100, 130, 160mm adjustment instead of 110-150mm turn knob.
I don't get pissed anymore when I catch a front flat, QR's make it so EZ to pull the wheel!

For '08 you get a choice between the R or RC2. I went with the RC2, which has lo-hi speed compression adjustments. Works for me because of the variety of riding I do from fast single track to ballsy trail riding in one run. '06 36mm Talas had hi-lo speed compression as well.

Here's a good shot of 2 very different Blurs, a customer's XC and my LT. Both are built to their own particular extremes!

Yeah, peas and carrots are so and so...

If you want steak-and-potatoes then you'd have an LT and a PIKE.
That's what I'm getting. Hehehe.

Keeps the geo correct and the Pike can stand up to the 36 any day.

I'm a diehard Pike fan... can't you tell? Cool

Rockshox Pike ... aww gahd! "the earth is not flat" thanks Capt. obvious!

I tried the Pike on the new Pitch this weekend. Why do I have to keep turning that damn U-Turn thing 'till my fingers hurt? So not-on-the-fly! Confused

I have to admit that I steal them pretty often but she rides with me a lot, goes on most of my trips, and her dad is filthy rich so everything works out in my favor. That Blur has gotten her to some pretty remote romantic locations with me if you catch my drift.
