I got to work this morning and one of the guys asked what was poking between my seats; I had to try and explain why I had two shovels and two rakes in my fiesta, plus 2 helmets, riding gear and muddy boots from a long days work the night before. My car has more leaves in it than the forest that my trails are in. Army

I had to explain why I had what my work mates called a " grave diggin kit " in boot Razz

I told them prostitutes don't bury them selves

The other lad at work who rides and builds is known for hiring the services of "escorts" so an explanation like that would be taken more seriously lol

Just got to my dh trail today, to re-route and dig a corner, just to discover that some shithead on his dirtbike trashed the whole track from top to bottom.
I've been working on this trail 4 days a week for the last couple months and the guy just f*cked my trannies so bad...
Should have taken him like 5 minutes to ruin all my work.
I'm so tired of this dirtbike thing, but don't really what to do about it...

I know how you feel mate. It's realy shitty of them.

yeaaaah man, and in addition to this there are lots of stuff around here where you can ride a dirtbike,
what's the point of riding a mtbike trail and pretend you're good when you are actually just trashing some 10 ft doubles.
I mean, seriously?!
what's the average dirtbike double, like 20ft long?

Ya that's shitty man I've been getting worried about my trail seen tracks at trail head lately
. Luckily no one has gone down the trail yet.

Just a few weeks back I decided to fix a step up on a mates track , with in 2 minutes of me finishing it 6 MX bikes come thru ( ridden very very badly , one of them stalled on the way down a slope....) completely shagged the lip on the jump ...

The kinda people that ride MTB tracks on MX bikes are allways terrible riders , you would be lucky to get 2nd gear on most MTB tracks and they are no fun to ride at all...

yeah couldn't agree more, they are usually pretty bad and slow, ride in the wet, and seems to find that fun.
Don't know what I could build to stop them though, I can't throw a big ladder since the place is illegal and that would could be an issue, entrance can't be narrowed...
I was considering asking the community of riders to try and get them off the place when they see one of them, but I don't know if displaying hostility would make any change, it might even make things worse at some point.

Hostility is exactly how we got rid of dirt bikes from my local , every time they showed some one would chase them off , seemed to do the trick.

I was at the point of booking time off work getting cammo-ed up and sitting in a bush waiting for them to show up then go mortal kombat on them...

Making a few narrower gaps to ride though may do it , or perhaps , if it's your trail , block it off to make it shit to ride and only open it up when you wanna ride it

we had to put gate keeps and really tight corners on some of our trails. the ruts they cause are brutal.

When they can't ride something they just ride around it.
So maybe I should try this, there should be a good amount of mountainbikers riding this trail on a regular basis, and most of them seems to find cool the fact that I'm turning their old crappy singletrack in a proper, well maintained trail.
I'd like them to understand that if I quit building there, dirtbikes and boars will quickly make it shitty again

no. drops, teeter totters, tight posts that they cant get their bars through or tight corners. that kind of stuff. we dont want to hurt anyone. dirt bikes always come up from the bottom here.

We posted signs everywhere but still people that ignore then

Might be a good option to try , speak to the regular riders and encourage them to make the dirt bikers unwelcome , obviously physical threats are the very last resort , but just make it clear to them that they are ruining your fun by riding your stuff , and tell them to make their own shit ! I mean with an engine you can make a bit of single track thru the brush in minutes...
