Best mountain bike for £1500 or under that suits my needs

Ok
Lets start with the fact that I have only previously (and still do) ride a cheap £250 x-rated hard tail mountain bike.
I am 5ft 4/5 and looking for a 16" frame to last me as I am likely still growing
I am looking for a bike that will handle downhill trails well, as well managing uphill. I am looking for the minimum bike needed, so the cheapest bike that will work well for what I want. I will be mostly riding technical down hill trails.

I will be riding similar as in this video, just with a few more roots and rocks.
