As for dual crowns on a hardtail generally, I would say no (most arguements already posted) but if you want to and your frame can handle it...go for it

I built the bike as an experiment, back when there weren't 15 "DH Hardtail" threads, back when people said you could never do it. And so I built it up. Now, the fork is crapped out, and sticky as hell. I need a lighter spring, but Hayes doesn't support the old stuff anymore . . . Plans? Pike. And then? SX frame. Hopefully . . . after I finish my road bike.
the ms isle is designed for a long travel fork im not sure quite how long my mate usde to run an old 99 mr t on one which was about 130mm. strength wise though if any hardtail can take a triple i'd reckon a ms isle can
Just went to tell something by the subject... Amazing setup! A real good and tough kind of building for non-sucky riders how want ride really hard and heavy. Fast as ht, powerfull as fs (not like modern ultra light dh sport cars). I have a two ht's like this and goin to build 3d like previous two.
F*ck yeah, dual crowns on hardtails! Rides really nice and isn't as raked as you think. I ride more smoothly than I ever did on a full suspension.... plus it's about 10lbs lighter than my last big bike.
