Dartmoor two6player and rear axles!

Probably just me being a muppet but i've just bought a wheelset with a halo spindoctor rear hub. It has a QR axle which I thought was supposed to be 9mm, meaning it should slot into my two6player's 10mm dropouts with a bit of space right?

Well it doesn't! It's like the dropouts are way too small to fit anything! Wouldn't fit my SX Trail's 10mm bolt through and now won't fit the QR! What is going on? Don't want to go ahead and buy this 10mm conversion kit to find that it doesn't fit either!

Can't understand this!
