I've had my 40's a while (second hand) and i only come to realise it the other day but it only seems like i'm gettin 7" travel out of them. Can someone please tell me what year my 40's are and tell me how many spacers i need at the top of the spring for 203mm travel.

07/08 forks mate, and 7" is fine tbh, other than that they all look fine.

Did you look at your compression settings, or maybe a lighter spring.
Anyways there should be four spacers. Your pretty much just rearranging the spacers to get your desired amount of travel. Here is a link about adjusting your travel and pics with how things should go.
