I should post a current engine situation since it's kinda neat now but it still looks like a Subaru engine bay. Mess of things going everywhere.

So now it's :
2.2t closed deck block
2.5d heads, mildly ported, drilled for coolant/oil feed and return lines
Cat less up pipe to td04 off a wrx to bellmouth downpipe
Saab top mount intercooler

When we had the motor pulled I also took some time to delete the abs pump, so I had room to mount a spare air filter off the drift car and my catch can. It's much louder then the stock, chopped up air box that was there before.

Why keep the little plastic Subaru engine cover??? IMO it looks goofy and I like the view of the engine rather than the cover more

It's the turbo one, they're rare nowadays because everyone breaks them. It covers up the coil packs and throttle cables so it's not like you're going to see that much more engine without it there..

Are you going to create a ram air box?

Nope. It's intercooled. It goes through a hot turbo regardless of where it draws from so I don't see the point.

I've always thought the same thing. My cold air intake is a slab of aluminum with holes in it.

totally agree on the turbo heating the air... CAI are waste of money on intercooled vehicles tup I run a filter off a transport truck lol fits under the hood and flows wayyy more air then my lil 5.9L engine needs

Figured why my truck has been using so much fuel lately.. f*cking piece of shit fuel heater has been leaking. Deleting it, maybe I'll get lucky and it'll help fuel flow.. Lol. With the water/meth coming on at 25 PSI my truck will now break loose at 50 in the dry.. Punched it and just about shat myself, not used to it not hooking up lol still needs a better meth to water ratio though, gonna try 40/60. Gonna have it come on around 15 psi too rather than 25, boost builds decently to 15 then skyrockets to 50 and creeps slowly lol.
