2008 deity vendetta crank
Ok, so I won't hide it. People, I'm vain. And when I saw the most beautiful crank to my eyes in the world I had to get one. But imagine my surprise when I took them out of the box to find they were not just lighter but much lighter than mostly any crank out there (sub 2lbs). A 3-piece crank? I had to pinch myself. So I bolt them on and find that they are stiffer than any MTB crank with no flex anywhere at any time. The power transfer is incredible. The connection to your drive train is instant, tight, responsive and I mean immediate. I believe only Profile can shake a leg in the same room. Then I began to realise how compatible they are. BMX chain ring, MTB spider, chain guides, whatever – and I do mean literally – whatever setup you want it's possible. Wow. How can you sit there and not look into them. I for one have fallen in love and can't wait to get my hands on their new chain wheel coming out later this year. They are NOT lighter than saints

Ok I ran the numbers and here is what it comes to. All weights are off Sicklines for the Saint stuff.

09 Saint Arms 83mm No Rings = 762g
http://www.sicklines.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/7761
09 Saint 83mm BB w/ spacers = 96g
http://www.sicklines.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/7769

Which adds up to 858g

Numbers for Diety are off their website. And I am assuming they are weighing their 68/73mm versions. http://www.deitycomponents.com/Products/Cranksets/vendettamainSPECS.jpg

Vendetta Cranks w/ Cromo Spindle + Complete Euro BB kit = 1081g

Vendetta Cranks w/ Ti Spindle + Complete Euro BB kit = 961g

Seems like Saint are still lighter Razz even when using a bigger version Saints. Also Saints are ready to take 104BSD rings right off the bat. The Vendetta's need a spider to do that...more weightRolleyes .

Maybe I should compare how much a e.13 ring + Saints, and the Diety Rings + Vendettas would run.

EDIT

Again it's lighter w/ the Saint Route

09 Saint Bolts = 10g
http://www.sicklines.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/7775
*NOTE* These bolts are to run a bashguard so they are longer and the black part is steel. So single speed alloy bolts will be EVEN lighter.

E.13 Guidering 36t = 44g
http://www.sicklines.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=765

Diety Alibi LT 36t = 102g
http://www.deitycomponents.com/alibi_LT_sprocket2.htm

So final builds

Saints = 912g
Ti Diety = 1063g
