Road trip to santa cruz then to whistler

I am taking a road trip from Steamboat Springs, Colorado to Santa Cruz then up to Whistler BC. I have a DH bike and a dirt jumper. I was looking for some sweet spots to ride anywhere along the way. So if there are any spots in Utah, nevada, northern cali, Oregon, and Washington to ride or camp let me know.
