New to the area and looking for some fun trails. Fast burmy downhill with jumps would be ideal! Happy to have a nice long loop route too.

I've spent the last 5 years living in Yorkshire, so I've been spoilt for choice and haven't had to look very hard for top notch trails.

I'm willing to travel up to roughly 1.5hrs from Banbury, so not sure if Wales is within reach. Obviously if you guys know of somewhere glorious outside of that range then please spill the beans!

First day on the site, so please be gentle!

Hey, have you had any luck on finding places to ride? I have recently moved to carterton and have been cycling around without much luck. Considering asking farmers for use of land!!

Nope not yet.

But I have discovered that Aston Hill is pretty close to me. So I'm going to go sample the delights! Lazy but easy option...

Most of the trails at badbury are getting destroyed by loggers over the next few weeks.

Cheers for the heads up. I'll try and check it out before it gets destroyed!

Looks like a nice drive to Faringdon too.

Cannock chase?

Didn't know about that place either, so cheers for the info.

Went out exploring the local hills around Banbury with a mate on Friday, but all we found was lots of clay/mud! Thank god for pubs...

You still looking for riding places? Aston hill is good, also Woburn and chicksands for short jumpy trails and some nice proper sets of dirt jumps. Hoping to check out forest of dean as well, heard its meant to be good. In Oxford itself shotover isnt bad for a chilled out little blast with some trails and a small jumpy area. Let me know if your out and about im always looking to ride!

Thought I'd dig up this post as I'm now in the same situation, used to ride lot down south, had a bit of a break due to uni/work etc, now moved to the Cotswolds (Stow) and want to get back into riding properly, any of you guys ride locally?
