Anyone know if you can run a tapered 1 1/8' steer tube in a straight 1.5 headtube? Would I only need a new headset to make it fit? Or what about the bottom? Newbie in need of a new fork for my 2011 Jekyll. Trying to figure out what my options are.

Yeah you can get a reducer top headset, though depending on the bearings you might want to just replace both.
There are different types of headsets, so check what size it is, or have shop just do it.
