Hello,

I was just riding along and when I pedaled the casset would just spin and no movement from the wheel.
I know the freehub is broke, but how do I fix it?
I tried taking the freehub off, no luck.....
Cant find a place that sells replacment parts for this hub.

Help, Cheers

Joe

Yea its an amazing hub, this was the first problem I had with it in 4 years.

Any one know how to fix it??

yup, you will need:
- A pin spanner or a some similar device that fits in the end of the axle.
- And a ring spanner of about 15mm or something, can't quite remember (trial and error will do it).
Hold the axle still at disc side and undo the driveside nut (cassette removed). The freehub should slide off now, and the axle will pop out. check the state of the springs and pawls and the drive ring teeth. Clean up the internals grease the springs with non-sticky grease and re-assemble.

I did take that drive side nut off, and nothing happened, tried fairly hard to pull the casset off, and then pulled the cir-clips off on both sides and still no budge of the free hub....

strip dwon and re-build usually sorts it out unless its a bearing problem.

Take 'em out and measure them... I don't think anyone is gonna know off the top of their head... Measure the OD, ID, and width and go to a bearing shop...
