Hi my names nick ive been riding DH on a mondraker summum for a year now and have came to the point where i am thinking about changing my frame. where i live has no lifts or trailers to get you to the top and a full 8 inch bruiser isnt really practical because they are hard work. Im looking for somthing thats a bit less and can climb it needs to be slack but playfull at the same time any ideas would be great!

ive been looking at the intense uzzi 2012 and building it up myself.This looks like a class frame but intense are always followed by rumours of snapping and im not to sure if this bike is aimed more at the XC scene rather than a mini DH scene.

There are quite a few ~7" AM bikes that would work. What brands are available in your area?

Some suggestions I can think of:
Giant Reign X
Santa Cruz Nomad
Specialized Enduro
Ghost Cagua
Pivot Firebird

Pick a brand and they should have at least one...

Reign X with a Talas 180 on it... Worked well for me.
