This looks like a scam to me: https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3596798/
I asked him to email me pictures and a video of the bike and the email response headers are in Albanian and from a timezone that isn't Florida (where the seller claims to be) https://www.pinkbike.com/u/Smokeybiker/
stolen from here: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/175676002769?oid=175669305775 AND has already blocked me so yes a scammer who has been at it for awhile

How come they have already blocked you? Did you get in touch? Or do you suppose it's the same person with multiple accounts who knows to block you before proceeding?
Theoretical question for this group... If you were dealing with a seller who has 100+ sales on Pink bike... Would you trust them enough for a direct transfer (instead of PayPal)? And no, they are not asking for a direct transfer.
As someone that fits that category, I will never accept paypal. I've had too many issues with them over very literally nothing, and have sold enough items that I feel my history speaks for itself. I no longer see the benefit in risking my payment for a good product if someone decides to be shady with me.
I'd personally advise meeting up in person if you're leery about the safety of the sale.

When I find a scammer I post to their profile page to hopefully warn any potential buyers to be aware. so i get blocked. they then must have me on some type of algorithm to auto block me as they generate new accounts
Maybe it's been covered here already, but when someone uses the "report as scam" function inside of the ad, is there a mod who is checking the reported sellers ad & profile?

Sent money on 4/1 to the email address that was provided. He stated he would ship by the end of the day on 4/3. On Monday 4/3 I reached out to confirm he was able to ship the bike. No response until late on 4/3. Seller stated his flight was delayed and couldn’t ship the frame. The next morning I woke up and he said the email address he provided was his business partner who has now abandoned him and left for Europe. He told me to file a claim with PayPal. I then get on pinkbike and see that he has relisted the frame for $1900 because “this bad bike deal has put him in a bad spot”.

This account is most probably an AI-scammer. Not answering to questions, excuses about having a bad quality camera when asked for a video, eventually sending a reduced quality video of a completely different bike, etc. Contact me for more info, screenshots, etc.

For a bot, he's got pretty interesting tag line - "Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling"

There's a phone number listed. Have you tried calling?
PS. no way those photos are from Colorado. Looks like southwestern architecture.
Recently was made aware someone stole my eBay ad from Mar 18 and posted it here as a scam ad.
Username link -> https://www.pinkbike.com/u/LurkMore/
Link to their advertisement -> https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3594562/
My eBay ad -> https://www.ebay.com/itm/125831354973
Reason for reporting them -> Lurkmore clearly stole my eBay photos, posted them here as a nefarious ad, and now that I’ve posted the bike myself here on pinkbike, I was informed by another kind user that someone else had created an identical ad.
Need more proof? Lurkmore posted the bike as size Large, but as you can see in the photos, the sticker near the bottom bracket clearly shows it’s a size small. Gotcha.
