3 of us are starting our road trip in Nelson on Sunday and hitting multiple parks on the way. The guys on this trip can ride in Whister and the shore as that's where we are from. Any suggestions on where to ride? What trails?
Newtsac (kokanee park) Hitman to doz slabs (Kokanee park - long shuttle, better to park at the bridge and push for 30 minutes to save the trucks) Sitkum (if re-route allows - check with Sacred Ride or Gerrick's) bear's den to mister slave to placenta to skier's right - at giveout bear's den to Bedframe.. seriously awesome, worth about 5 minutes of bombing the logging road to bedframe.
Got some extra time or late evening ride:
Fat chance to buddha to asg (mt. station) Eli sims (mt. station cruiser with some 6 foot-ish drops) buddha to asg (mt. station -super quick and easy from the p-lot. Fast flowey with some nice stunts) Goldmember (steep) or the Gimp (haven't ridden it but hear it is good) - both at giveout
I'll be in Silverstar, but connect with any local rider. We're pretty friendly out here. If you just go to the kokanee parking lot you find someone to guide you around no problem. Especially if you have a truck. Otherwise, stop by sacred or gerrick's and the cycling club has a sweet guidebook out.
Thanks! I'll take a print-out of this! We've heard the riding is amazing but with only 1 day we want to hit the best!
