I went out today into my back yard and around my house and came up with these.

I tried out the whole border thing, but I think I made them really thin.

What do you use for editing? Because if you use any version of photoshop then I can tell you a really simple way of making just a simple, colored border. Just change the background color to whatever color you want the border to be (black I'm assuming)and then increase the canvas size to how thick you want the border. Usually I add 0.2 or 0.3 inches to the image because I don't like really thick borders.

try and use the rule of 3rds more, but on the whole its a good effort for your first time with the DSLR, better than mine Wink
