Alot of their lower end stuff that you can find at sportcheck is complete crap, but their higher end bikes(sunday, 7 point, ect...) are among the best in the buisness. Unfortunately the only place to get them at the moment is to order them through sportcheck.

Absolute crap.

I suggest you stop by walmart if you want a REAL bike for hucking 40 footers to an UPHILL landing, forget flat.

Agreed man. Seriously, I heard the whole DW link is a shame, and SuperCycle made it. Wouldn't surprise me. Everything else they make is amazing, though they kepp the best for themselves.

Are you guys on crack?

Dw link is amazing and the sunday is one of the top dh bikes in the world. Just because they make some low end bikes doesn't meant they don't have good stuff aswell. Norco, specialized, mongoose, and kona all make low end stuff in addition to their high end stuff.

Seriously please tell me those posts were meant as a joke!

I was thinking of a 07 Iron horse Sachem 4.0 Mtn bike with 150mm forks on it at under $1000.00 is that a good bike.

Not really, it would get the job done if you don't ride very hard but if you want to do more advanced riding it will crap out on you pretty fast.

The Iron horse freeride bikes that are worth looking at are the sunday(sunday expert starts at 3199), the 7point(2999) and the 6 points( 6 point 4 starts at 2899). Anything less from Ironhorse is just a waste of money and wont last you very long.

the thing about thinking a cheaper bike is good is that the parts will be complete garbage.

so lets check out he 07 iron horse sachem

the fork is pretty basic, a marzocchi dropoff. and just a dropoff, not a drop off 3 or 4. this fork is probably complete garbage as its better brothers are crappy too.

it has sram 4.0. thats another lower end part that you probably will have to constantly adjust and possibly replace.

its probably just a better idea to just use that money on a used older bike, it will have parts that are better and more reliable and will save you money.
