Putting the opening of the lever at the highest point is a detail the bike mechanic over looked .
I watched him do the bleed .

Another tip I read was use the vibrations from an electric tooth brush to tease the bubbles out of the hoses .

How much free stroke do Magura levers have ?
I wound in the actuation pins on the levers fully . They were moving a long way before engaging ?

Frustrating buying a new whip and not getting satisfaction . 2 rides cut short by dodgey brakes .

Today is a new day ...

I don’t blame the brakes, I’d blame the builders/shop for that one...

One kid tried to tell me to use two fingers on the lever !
About then I realised I was talkin to a guy who may work on MTBs but surely doesn`t ride em . lol .

When I was a teenager riding BMX we would use 2 fingers to brake . But that was 40 years ago ! lol .

I just told them what ever , just make the fcking things work FFS !
Waiting for a call from them ATM . I wanna go ride .

Did a few runs on this track last Friday . Before the brakes faded .

This seems fun so I figure I should join in on this thread.

Edit: I want to I include yesterday's ride as it was the most epic ride of 2020 for me thus far. My fiance and I did a 60 km, 1700m from home and back loop ride connecting 8 trail networks in Nanaimo (leaving out only one trail network..this is a training/tester ride for that as that will end up being closer to 100 km and who knows how much elevation). Managed to do the entire ride as a complete loop without crossing over previously ridden paths...something about that really satifies me.

Today I rode south Benson to access a trail my fiance and I are building which will connect two trail networks. We are getting close to opening the first half!

No blame the brakes. Magura brakes are incredibly hit and miss. Personally I think they're hot garbage and wouldn't run them.

I can say with all certainty that Sterling digs it regardless.

I loathed my Magura brakes.

Hopes for the win!
