I practice dh but not in race and freeride.

i just bought a 2015 kona carbon operator and love it. i think its a great handling bike. im partial to kona as my first bike was a kona.

Having ridden both, I would recommend the Giant. It has a better overall geometry. Super poppy on jumps, but still stable. The Kona to me feels way too long in the rear end. Hope this helps.
