Hey Whistler seems to be beating on my rack a bit, though I do take it off during the winter months, fall and spring seem to be hard on it when the occasional snow fall hits and they put crap on the road for melting ice. The chems they put down are really hard on metals. I am looking to spice it up and refinish it. My question is, has anyone had any experience with this? I was thinking of using a Tremclad product, http://tremclad.ca/reformer/rust-reformer/271100R522, and then repaint. Can I just paint over the galvanized product too? Thanks for the help Todd

I would strip it down, re-prime it, and then coat it with bed liner. It should hold up a lot better.
