Hey guys, I know nothing about filming things and now have a Gopro in hand. I did a bunch of recording my runs this weekend and most turned out pretty bad (chest cam was at a bad angle)...some were alright. I bought a gopole faceshot extention arm. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these, what settings to use to optimal shots etc..it may have just been I had the camera at the wrong angle but it seems like it was too close to me for the kind of shots I wanted. I was hoping for something similar to what Remy Metellier has in his videos ie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22ZbRqFsFU8. Does anyone know what extension he uses for his filming? Any advice would be appreciated! Cheers.

edit. You can see in my profile pic what how my angles turned out.

the extensions youll find for sale are gonna be way too short for any good angles. It's a liability issue for the company. Most of the good angles come from homemade extensions. If you freeze Remy's video you can see his shadow shows a long pole on his helmet about 2 feet out front.

Made my own from this video, scared to try it outside of my home trails just yet.

Just need to experiment with the mounts/arms to allow the camera to be at the right angle when you're riding.

The chest mount needs some of the arms added to it which will allow the camera to articulate further back which gets the view of the trail and not just your top tube...

Best bet is to use the app, rig up some stuff and check the angle, once its good tighten everything down!
