140mm fork with 32mm stanchions?

Hi all,
I'm looking at possibly buying a 2016 Giant Trance 2 http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/trance.27.5.2/22206/84045/ and was wondering if anyone had any input on the fork.

It is a 2016 Fox Float 32 650b and has 140mm of travel. I'm a little unsure if the 32mm stanchions will be strong enough for my riding with the longer travel fork. I currently have a HT that I ride on somewhat rocky single track and I like to take it fairly fast, even on my HT. The trails I usually ride also have a assortment of jumps and drops that I hit (no more than 3 - 4 ft tall).

The 2016 Trance has a decent build for the price an I like the Maestro suspension but I have some reservations on the fork.

Any suggestions about the fork, or even comparable bikes for around $2500 - $3500 would be much appreciated.

EDIT: I'm 5'10 and 150lbs, so weight isn't much of an issue

I'm on the 2014 140mm 32s on my Mondraker Foxy and they are withstanding a beating! Jumps, drops, black DH in the Alps, still working well after 10 months of abuse. Im 5'8" and 148 lbs.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am just getting into the world of long travel full sus bikes and I just found it odd that I haven't seen many other 32 forks in 140mm when looking at a TON of bikes (lol spend wayyyy too much time on PB and retailer's websites). Anyways, I hoped Fox knew what they were doing with their fork, but it is always good to hear back from people who have actually put these bits through their paces especially after Fox's 2015 model year flop.

some people have posted the Fox 32 forks are "noodly", but for a light rider, it should be a "perception" more than an issue. If you want more capability, look at the Trance SX.

I considered the SX, but I don't think I'll need the 160mm of travel up front. There are a lot of climbs by me, so I want something that would still be efficient on the ups and fairly capable on the downs. The trails aren't overly aggressive or chunky, so I'd prefer a 140mm bike over a 160 if I can help it.

If the flex won't affect the ride too much than I should be fine. Obviously I will have to demo it before I buy, but I wanted some input from others so I'd have a clue if I would need to upgrade right away.

I'd go for the sx man. The 160 is definitely wotth it in the long run instead of having to upgrade later

I think I'd get a Capra over the SX. It is has 160mm travel f/r, is better spec'd, and is $1500 cheaper than the SX.
Just my 2 cents

Can't wait to see what YT has in the works for the 2016 Capra!

Not arguing that as I'm not shopping for a new ride. Just sayin the 160 is worth it. And I'm on trance 3 so I also started at 140. Pike 160 now.
