Hi all. After more than 20 years off the bike I'm making something of a comeback, and having messed around on borrowed bikes for awhile have decided I'm serious enough to make a big purchase of my own.

Now that 2016 bikes are coming onto the scene I've noticed that suppliers are beginning to sell 2015 stock, and my question is when is the best time to buy? I'd say prices are down by approx 15% at the moment, but if I hold off for a month or two are they likely to come down even further?

It'll depend on the brand you buy. For example, old nukeproof stuff seems to be on sale for ages after the newer models are released and the prices drop massively but some brands will keep prices fairly steady. I'd say if you think you're getting a good price on the bike then just go for it, it's always hard to predict what will happen with prices and sales
