Biggest upgrade so far….Enve AM30 wheel set. Dropped the weight 1.8 lbs from 33 to 31.2 lbs. XTR rotors and XT cassette. Figured I can always run them on the 5010 if or when I ever decide to get one.

Latest upgrade…Race Face carbon bar and Turbine R stem. Still experimenting with 32mm vs 40mm stem. Curious If anyone changed stem lengths on their Hawk Hill or rift zones? What were your experiences/thoughts?

I have an atlas 35mm stem and have had no issues since upgrading from stock Marin stem.

Nice! 24 or 26”? How much does it weigh? Want to get one for my daughter but don’t think she’ll go for the blue.

24" 31.4lbs with a dropper and stock hard rubber peddles. Yt can ship the jeffsey primus by may. I have a norco on order since last may but have given up on it. I paid in full and the bike shop I ordered it from will not let me cancel it or refund me.

I would small claims the shop or threaten legal action if they won't refund an order that could have clearly been filled by now.

2022 Marin Alpine Trail XR

2022 Alpine Trail XR

Upgrades
- We Are One Union Wheels with I-9 hubs (set up tubeless)
- We Are One Da Package bar and stem
- Maxxis Agressor rear tire 2.5
- One up flat pedals

She's a bit chunky at 33lbs but pedals well and charges on the downs. Stoked!

What dropper are you running? How tall and how much does your son weigh? I just placed an order for the RZ 26 for my daughter. Looking to get her a dropper at some point.
