I recently put Shimano 11 speed on My Kona Process 111 and when I pedal backwards even slightly the chain falls back down on to the smaller cogs. Its definitely a chainline issue. I am running SRAM direct mount cranks with 6mm offset narrow wide ring. I have seen other bikes have the same problem with the new M8000 stuff, but I have seen several that work right. I have room on the frame to move the ring more inboard but the cranks have no way to adjust.
Chainline is about 46mm, needing to go less. Any other crank offer more adjustment?
Thanks for any help

if 46mm is still not enough then you may want to consider that it might not be a chaingear position issue ...
