Hi Pinkbike,
I currently have a Specialized P3 but I feel
that the top tube being at 24 inches seems
and feels a bit weird to ride with. I am looking
at the Trek Ticket DJ and A Cryptkeeper V3.
how does the alloy vs Cromo feel and which
one do you think is better. My P3 is top notch
including fox 36 831 and hope hubs with spank
tweets, turbine cranks and guide brakes. the
ticket is nice but it is expensive. the cryptkeeper
is cheaper but I would need to get a new bb and
crank set with chain ring and sprocket. let me know
which one you believe would be the better choice.

I've ridden crypts and I love the feel, the bike is designed so well for dirt jump. Deity is also an awesome company with amazing support and I find the ticked to be to expensive for what it is.

You can't go wrong with a Cryptkeeper and Deity components:

When I think of "TREK" I think of dudes in spandex riding 12 speed bikes.

Personally prefer the feel and look of the ticket however both frames are great. The ticket is one of my favorite feeling hardtail frames.

Do they both work fine for tall people. I'm 6'1" and still growing.

P3s only come with a 22.5 inch TT by the way

Yes they both work fine for tall people. The ticket has a 22.44 so it is almost identical to the p3 in terms of length and the deity is 22.25 so it will feel shorter in the front end than either of them. And if you're tall it means the long top tube on the p3 shouldn't be bad on paper for your height. However feel is most important and if you want a much shorter frame the deity would be better. Also the deity has a 10-135 rear axle just like the p3 and the trek has a 12-142 which means you'd need a conversion kit for your hub.
