I recently purchased the Atroz comp from Nashbar.com and I'm super pumped on this bike. msrp is 1700 and I paid 950. I think its absolutely the best value " all mountain " bike on the market. it has some fantastic features that you will not find on any bike in the price range.

you can pick the bike up for under 1000 almost any given day on nashbar. if you sign up for their email list you get discount codes almost daily.

Great bike, rolls quick. After new pedals, saddle, post, stem, trimmed handle bars, and much better Specialized Butcher Grid tires this bike is a beast of a All Mountain bike. Tears up downhills and fun no matter the terrain. If it was a little lighter it would be crazy awesome! Good rear shock, fork, brakes, 10 speed is awesome! No race bike but have gotten some KOTM's on Strava with it!

what parts did you get to upgrade the bike as far as bars and stem. got pics?

it's one of their lower end shortish-travel (120f/100r) FS trail bikes.

the one thing about DB is if you 're willing to shop and wait it out sooner or later you can probably pick up one NIB for 50% off MSRP.

it could probably handle some beginner enduro. from what I understand there are some guys that do enduros on hardtails (crazy). I live in Wisconsin so it will definitely handle enduro terrain in the Midwest. but I would upgrade the fork to 140mm.

Do you still have this bike? how is it holding up? I've seen a lot of people mention that the swing arm is weak and likes to crack. I'm trying to decide whether to get an entry-level FS or a high end HT. I'm 6'2" and close to 200lbs so I need something that can handle my weight. I also ride dirt bikes a ton, so even though I'm fairly new to the MTB scene, I need a bike that can handle getting rode hard. Turns out ripping down trails on one wheel on a 450 transfers over to some pretty impressive mountain biking Wink

Question, I just bought a 2017 DB atroz new for $335 on an eBay bid. I have a great tapered fork but is a through axle (15x100mm). Would getting a simple adapter work or do I need a whole new hub/wheel?
