I have ridden most of the classic XC trails in Kananaskis, Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise.
Done the Moose Mt. shuffle thang and ridden the lifts in COP, Fernie and Golden.
Done some of the hybrid XC/FR trails in the Crowsnest Pass area.
While all of these rides are great (it's almost embarassing how good the riding is in a 3 hour circle from Calgary) there is nothing like new trails.
With winter approaching I need something to get me through to the start of ski season.
What undiscovered gems are out there?
The riding around Rocky Mt. House looks well worth the drive - that is on my tick list for 2008. Other fantasy stuff is the Seven Summits Ride in Rossland and a trip to New Denver.
Anyone have anything to help a desk-bound rider get throught the shoulder season? Give it up!
