every year they come in a huge flock (5000?) and for only 1 day for about 2 hours or so they clean off all the old berries and apples off the trees all down our block. there are so many birds, it's actually hard to have a conversation over the noise.
they are a type of waxwing and they kind of migrate in reverse....going south in the spring.
well, there is some great riding in Alberta (which is bigger than Texas) But Edmonton is in the middle of the flat-ass prairies, which means a minimum 3 hour drive to really find trails with vertical.
