Fork offset for rigid 29er

Im making a hybrid street/city mountain bike and Im kinda lost on fork offset.
Looking at surly forks and it seems as they go from 40mm-47mm. How much of a change will the 7mm make?
I want to be able to go fast around town and bunny hop off stairs and over random shit. I dont know what the
best option of fork offset for a rigid fork would be.

please help with any experience or opinions on fork offset.
